This is the simple leg lift-
You lay on your back, on your bed or a mat, and lift your legs a few inches off the bed. Hold your legs up for as long as you can. You may remember this torture from your physical education classes at school. It worked then and it will work now. Rest and repeat. It will work if you work.
If you have an adjustable bed you can lower the foot of the bed and make use of the additional back support by leaning back on your bed while doing the exercise. This will also make the leg lifting a little more difficult considering you will be lowering your legs a significant distance lower.
